Career Highlights

2012-2013

HRH The Prince Philip

Presented to HRH The Prince Philip, Legislative Buildings, Queen’s Park, ON.

First Canadian artist commissioned and granted private audiences to sculpt a portrait of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh from life sittings at Buckingham Palace.

Solo exhibition Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London, UK.

Awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

2005-2009

Canada & Guernsey

Paints portrait of Justice The Honourable Beryl A. MacDonald supreme court Nova Scotia.

Appointed “Visiting Artist” for St. Anthony by Province of NL. Bestowed Life-Membership, Sir Wilfred Thomason Grenfell Historical Society.

Exhibits in Guernsey, Channel Islands.

Exhibits at McMichael Art Gallery, Kleinberg, ON

Paints portrait of The Rt. Hon. The Countess Mountbatten of Burma.

Paints Sir Geoffrey Rowland of the Royal Courts of Guernsey, Channel Islands.

1999-2001

The Queen & Margaret Atwood

Creates portraits of author Margaret Atwood and astronaut Dr. Roberta Bondar.

Becomes first Canadian sculptor/medallist to be collected by: Numismatic Museum, Greece.

Designs 100th birthday medal of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother for British Museum Permanent Collection.

2016-2017

Mixed Media & Sculpting

Commences ground breaking mixed media works. Sculpts portrait of The Chief Justice of Canada, The Right Honourable Beverly
McLachlan Sculpts portrait of General Jonathan Vance, Chief of Defence Staff.

Sculpts portrait of Alexander Graham Bell to commemorate Canada’s sesquicentennial.

 2010-2011

Pte. Thomas Lawless

“Avion I Project” creates first known forensic facial reconstruction of WWI soldier Pte. Thomas Lawless based on CT, laser, and isotopes. Unveiled forensic sculpture at Canadian War Museum.

Exhibits at Tampere Museum, Finland.

Tampere Museum acquires 6 art works into permanent collection.

2003-2004

The Sulman Mummy

Creates first known forensic facial reconstruction of 2,200 yr old Egyptian mummy based on CT and laser scans.

Unveiled at Chatham-Kent Museum. Corbet’s sculpture becomes first known forensic facial reconstruction to be acquired into the permanent collection of a Canadian museum.

Designated “Forensic Artist-in-Residence” University of Western Ontario.
